DESIGNER Alexander McQueen's funeral took place in London yesterday Feb 26, attended by his close family and friends - including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Lady GaGa, Daphne Guinness and Sam Taylor-Wood. A spokesperson confirmed this morning that there will be a memorial service this year for McQueen's many other friends and supporters, details of which will be decided and released at a later date.

The brand spokesperson added that the focus for the team is on the future of the label and on the Alexander McQueen show, set to take place in Paris on March 9.

This is really sad. They say we must let people rest in peace, but it's hard to imagine life without people we love. I just know Alexander Mcqueen will inspire me forever. He had such an amazing and lightened soul. He was the Sun to me.
