Georgia O'Keeffe is one of my favorite artists ever. Her paintings have inspired me so many times and I would give almost anything to be able to tell her how thankful I am because her art is teaching me every day how to survive among other things like the real meaning of beauty.
She reinvented and created the American art, her style paves the way for everybody, for me and for the future artists. She remind me a little bit of the extraordinary Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, they both lived their lives fully, they felt love, pain, joy and the bitterness of the darkest moments of life in their own skin.
O'Keeffe married the amazing photographer Alfred Stieglitz and immortality for her begun after Mr. Stieglitz photographed her. I remember I studied the O'Keeffe's masterpieces on school and sometimes I cried like a baby 'cause the softness of every brushstroke is overwhelming and mesmerizing. Georgia captured femininity at its best, she even found the beauty on skulls and bones, some people relate skeletons with death but O'Keeffe could could prove that bones are as alive as a flying bird.
