This is the lookbook of the precollection of Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton. The pre fall/winter 2011 womenswear. The collection will be presented on the Paris Fashion Week soon and we anticipate that it will be amazing. These particular outfits of the precollection are beautiful but I feel a lack of the style and the presence of McQueen. It's like Burton is worried about doing normal yet pretty clothes, and she's forgetting that fashion is art and the Fall Winter season gives you the chance to do amazing, unthinkable, wonderful and dramatic things. Sometimes I see more Chanel or Versace on the structure of these dresses.
I hope Sarah Burton never forget that she's the fashion creative director for being the right hand of the immortal genius McQueen and if she keeps doing this, randomly, little by little the brand and the fame will decrease.
Anyway I will give her the credit for doing a precollection that is better than other collections from other "designers". We have to remember this is just a precollection, just a small teaser o f what it's coming so I have faith that Sarah Burton will honor McQueen once again.
